How can we help?

My child's game isn't blocking when time is up.

This is a known behavior with iOS. If an app is already open and running when the "Shield" (block) is applied, the system may not block it immediately.

Solution: Ask your child to close the app (swipe up from the bottom of the screen to view open apps, then swipe up on the app to close it). When they try to open it again, the Shield will appear correctly.

Why can't I see the specific names of apps used?

To protect family privacy, Apple's Screen Time API restricts developers from seeing specific Bundle IDs or App Names. We can categorize them (e.g., "Social Media", "Games") and count the time, but the specific details are kept private on your device.

How do I pair a child device?

  1. Download Tic Lock on the child's device (iPhone or iPad).
  2. Open the app and select "Child Device" during setup.
  3. On your Parent device, go to Settings > My Family > Add Device to generate a pairing code.
  4. Enter the code on the child's device.

Note: Both devices must be signed into iCloud for syncing to work reliably.

What happens when my free trial ends?

After the 30-day trial, the app will enter a 7-day Grace Period. You can still access data, but you will need to subscribe to an Individual or Family plan to continue creating new challenges or monitoring devices. If you do not subscribe, the app will eventually enter "Lockout" mode where data is read-only.
